Pre-school and School Age Programs

The New Berlin Public Library offers many quality programs that are fun and also promote learning. The youth services department offers storytime programs for a variety of ages. Below is a list of storytime groups. Registration is no longer necessary for storytimes, but space is limited. Please check in at the Youth Reference Desk upon arrival. Once we reach capacity we will no longer be able to let others in.

Storytime for 2's and 3's

For 2 and 3 year olds and their caregivers.

Lapsit Storytime

For children UNDER the age of 2 and their caregivers.

Pre-school Storytime

For ages 3-5 years old.

Sensory Friendly Storytime

For ages 2-7 years old and their caregivers. Sensory Friendly Storytime is designed to engage children through movement, music, stories and play. Open to all children and especially geared to children on the autism spectrum, those with sensory integration challenges, or children who have difficulty sitting.

Thank you for supporting the New Berlin Public Library by attending our programs! We ask that you respect the age and attendance guidelines we have for certain programs. Registration for programs takes place at the Youth Services Desk in person or by calling 262-754-1814. In the event that we need to close registration, our waiting list policy is to take children/families on a first-come, first-serve basis at the beginning of the program. Sign in with a Youth Services librarian and we will notify you if there is room available. If you register for a program and cannot attend, please let library staff know. For all programs, please arrive before the program begins. We reserve the right to refuse admittance once a program has begun. We appreciate your cooperation.

The library also holds a Lego Club, Friday Playgroup, and more! For more information on any of these activities, please contact youth services or check out the event on our calendar.
