National Novel Writing Month

Ever thought about writing a novel? Not sure where to start?

Every November hundreds of thousands of people around the globe participate in National Novel Writing Month. What is it?

In short it's a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing.

Participants work towards the goal of writing a 50,000 word novel between November 1st and November 30th.

To learn more about National Novel Writing Month (often abbreviated to NaNo) stop by the library's Informational Session on Sunday, October 18th at 1.

We'll also be hosting a NaNo Plan on Thursday October 22nd from 10-2 to help you plot out your novel-in-waiting. From there you can stop by one of our many write-ins to meet other participants in the area and work on your novel.

Monday, November 2nd from 6-8:45
Saturday, November 14th from 12-4:45
Sunday, November 15th from 1-3:45
Monday, November 23rd from 6-8:45
Saturday, November 28th from 12-4:45
Monday, November 30th from 6-8:45

All events will take place in the 2nd floor conference room. Everyone is welcome, no registration is required.

1 Month. 50,000 Words. The world needs your novel.
