Fun Fine Motor Skills to Promote Handwriting

Join us for a three part program series, Fun Fine Motore Skills to Promote Handwriting. The programs will be held Mondays, October 10th, 17th, and 24th at 6:00 p.m.

This program is presented by Tiffany Anewenter-Grinker, Occupational Therapist with KidReach Pediatric Therapy Specialists. It will address writing readiness skills along with the use of preparation techniques to instill good writing habits, appropriate writing grips, proper positioning, upper-body strength and eye coordination activities. A multi-sensory approach is used to make handwriting more fun and enjoyable.

The October 10th session will focus on capital letters, the October 17th session will focus on lower case and the October 24th session will focus on numbers. Attend 1, 2, or all 3 sessions . A brief overview of the last session will take place at each new session. This program is geared for parents and caregivers, but children are welcome to attend. The library will provide puzzles and coloring sheets.

Registration is required. Please register at the Youth Services Reference Desk or call 262-754-1814. All 3 programs will take place in the Youth Program Room on the first floor.
