Library Card Sign-Up Month

Library Card Sign-Up Month

Did you know that September is Library Card Sign-Up Month? If you don’t already have your own library card, what a perfect month to get one!

Residents of Waukesha County and all other Wisconsin counties, except Milwaukee County, are eligible for a card at no cost after presenting current identification and proof of residence. Children may obtain their own library card at age 5 or older. A parent or guardian must be present to show current identification and sign the application. Children that attend school in New Berlin but live in Milwaukee County are also eligible for a library card with current identification and proof of enrollment (e.g., report card, tuition statement.)

We are also offering a special treat for all children who come to get their first library card during the month of September! For a child’s first card, please stop in at the Youth Services Reference Desk with the required materials.

Please call 262-785-4980 with any questions or for more information about getting a library card.
