Wakanheza Project Presentation

Would you like to learn how to effectively respond to everyday, stressful situations between people and possibly how to prevent the situations from happening in the first place? If so, Kelly Wochinske, Youth Services Librarian at Milwaukee Public Library and I will be presenting an informational program about the Wakanheza Project

Wakanheza (pronounced wah-kahn-jah) literally means sacred being and is the Dakota word for child. The Wakanheza Project was developed by the Saint Paul-Ramsey County Department of Public Health and is built around 6 principles that help people connect better with each other and create welcoming, respectful environments together.

Join us in the library’s Community Room on Tuesday September16th at 6 p.m. for this presentation and learn more about the Wakaneza Project and how you can incorporate it into your life. Registration is required. Register in person at the Youth Services Reference Desk or call 262-754-1814.
