Chris Brookes presents Mary Delafield Sturges 

Meet Mary Delafield Sturges, survivor of the Great Chicago Fire, devoted wife and mother, philanthropist, and advocate for women. 

This first-person portrayal takes you back to the turn of the twentieth century as Mary recalls family anecdotes, describes life among Chicago's elite, and reminisces about her escape from the Chicago Fire to the refuge of Lake Geneva where her family were among the first Lake Shore residents.
