Southeastern Wisconsin’s geographical location is on a known trafficking route in the Midwest and a known breeding ground for traffickers and recruiting ground for victims. This results in an area at high risk for trafficking. Those factors, combined with high unemployment, increased gang and drug activity, and high poverty levels create an even higher risk for human trafficking locally.

Officer Kelly Andrichik, of Fight to End Exploitation, will provide a presentation on human trafficking worldwide, nationally, and in Southeast Wisconsin. We will talk about labor trafficking, as well as sex trafficking and how young people are lured into this and groomed for it-often without even knowing what is happening.

There will be time for Q&A after the presentation.
