The Brandywine School was a style of illustration and an art colony located in Delaware and Pennsylvania near the Brandywine River. Founded by artist, Howard Pyle, at the end of the 19th Century--Pyle has been called,  the "father of American illustration." Join us for a lively discussion with art historian, Karri Fritz-Klaus, about the work of Howard Pyle and his Brandywine School.
